Reservations and Check-in…

We stayed at this Texas Wine Country Jellystone Camp Resort to attend the 2018 RV Entrepreneur Summit. We made our reservations 6 months prior and were assigned our site immediately through our reservation (phone).

Arriving an hour before check-in, the staff allowed us to check in early with no penalty. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous.

Office and Store…

This camp resort office has a nice camp store which was well-stocked with food, beverage and souvenirs for the kids. They even have bottled wine (hence, it’s Texas Wine Country) for guests to purchase.

Site(s) and condition…

This camp resort is easy to navigate with wide roadways and no obstructions. Our site was spacious with a picnic table and a fire pit.

The sites were mostly dirt and dead grass clippings that got tracked into the RVs. Considering it rained for most of the time we were there, this made it difficult and dirty for running in and out to get things, etc.

Services and Amenities…

Guests are provided free WiFi and Cable however, we admit, we were too busy to watch tv. We used our own WiFi hotspots so we can’t give a review of the free WiFi service.

The restrooms were clean and well stocked.

The laundry room had 6 washers, 6 dryers with a folding table and change machine. It was clean and tidy.

Since it rained while we were there, we didn’t get to use the hot tub or pool however, we’ve heard it was well used and nice prior to the rain.

The Grounds…

The grounds were what we expected for a Texas Wine Country Jellystone Camp Resort; family oriented and friendly with lots of kid stuff to do outside. However, there needs to be improvement in the landscaping. Every time it rained, the walking paths accumulated water causing huge puddles forcing us to walk in the mud.

One last issue that needed to be addressed for improvement was the grounds staff would remove the trash dumpster in our area every morning and not return it until hours later.

Other notables…

The conference and meeting rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The campground staff seemed to have met the expectations of the summit from an attendee’s standards.

In our opinion though, by the immense amount of cash Jellystone made off of the summit, they should have provided coffee free of charge.

We had to rush out so we didn’t have time to physically check out however they checked us out on the phone right after we left with no issues.

Thumbs up or thumbs down…

Thumbs up! This is definitely a great and fun place for families and wonderful venue for mini RV rallies and gatherings. Even though it’s more family-oriented, we would definitely stay here again because of it’s proximity to Fredricksburg and regional wineries. It met our expectations and we highly recommend staying at Texas Wine Country Jellystone Camp Resort.
