10 Best Luxury RV Resorts that will WOW You!
What deems a luxury RV resort?
Luxury RV resorts will usually have a posh Country Club atmosphere. Typically, these ritzy resorts vacation destinations are seemingly selective of their clientele’s type, size and age of their RV.
These type of RV vacation venues offer countless amenities. They have meticulously groomed grounds, manicured landscaping, and sparkling, clean pools and hot tubs,
Some of these exclusive RV resorts even offer organized activities, workshops and classes, pickle ball courts, state of the art WiFi and strict security.
And with all of that, there’s an unwritten rules of expectation when it comes to clientele behavior and RV age and appearance.
But, these posh amenities all comes with a hefty price tag. While these first rate luxury RV Resorts are more expensive, it’s for good reason. They are all about the guest experience!
What you should know before making reservations at luxury RV Resorts
There are a few things you need to know before making a reservation at really any RV park these days. But, most notably, there’s a few expectations you should be aware of at these high end, sophisticated RV resorts.
10 Year Rule
It’s a no-brainer that some luxury RV resorts may be very exclusive. In that, some high dollar, sophisticated RV resorts may only allow Class A motorhomes and even up to a certain age of the RV.
Most high end RV and motorcoach-only resorts enforce the controversial RV 10 year rule. It may be stipulated in the criteria or rules. Should your RV be older than 10 years old, it would be a good idea to ask.
RV Site Appearance and Expectations
There’s a certain requirement and expectation for guests to keep your site clean and tidy to maintain their posh appearance.
Most, if not all highly rated RV resorts, disallow on-site RV washing at your site. So, it’s best to arrive with a sparkly clean RV.
I suggest hitting the Blue Beacon truck wash or give your RV a good bath the day before or day of your arrival.
But that’s not saying you can’t do a waterless wash to keep your RV looking pristine once you get there and during your stay.
These type of luxury RV resorts also disallow any mechanical work on your site such as oil changes, generator maintenance, installations, etc.
Each resort may have particular guidelines on what you can keep outside on your site pad. They don’t want your RV site looking like a Walmart toy aisle at Christmas.
Also, at most premium RV resorts, you will most likely have to park any storage trailers, tow dolly or extra vehicle in the RV resort’s storage lot. They typically will not allow you to clutter up your site.
Most, if not all, high end RV resorts don’t want their RV sites looking like a Walmart parking lot.
Just be aware that there may be an additional storage storage fee.
These high end luxury RV resorts may give off a hoity toity, spoiled perception. People pay good money to enjoy the luxury and amenities not found at regular RV parks and campgrounds.
There is a bit of expected refinement of behavior. These resorts aren’t the redneck yacht club or weekend brew haha at your local state park. Refined behavior and respectable manners of all guests is expected.
These aren’t the places to be a stumbling drunk wearing your bbq sauce stained wife beater and cut-off jean shorts up to your hoo-hoo.
In other words, at these type of luxury RV resorts, just keep it classy.
RV Resort Security
Most, if not all, high end RV resorts are gated and have roving security. The security gate usually have either an private entrance code or key card to swipe exclusive to overnight guests.
If you’re wanting local visitors, these resorts typically require registering them at the office. Be aware, there may be an added fee for extra guests whether they use the resort amenities or not.
If you’re bringing your pets, be aware that luxury RV resorts usually have dog breed restrictions. They also may only allow up to a certain amount of pets; even your indoor cats inside your RV that never come out.
Before making your reservation, you should see if either of these issues apply to you (maybe you have 3 dogs or 2 dogs and 1 cat).

Site Fees and Cancellation Policy
Most luxury RV resorts will have, no doubt, have a hefty deposit as well as a cancellation fee.
So, it’s important to read and understand fully each luxury RV resort’s cancellation policy. Because once you make your reservation, especially during peak season and busy weekends, they will keep your deposit regardless.
Should you need to cancel your reservation, you may have to forfeit your deposit in entirety based on a short notice cancellation.
And lastly, when looking at the luxury RV resort site fees, know that the prices typically don’t include add-on fees, surcharges, pet deposits and taxes.
So, now that we’ve learned the basics, let’s see which are amongst the most popular high-end luxury RV resorts that will wow you!
