Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park – Scott, AR

 

In the spring of 2017, while we were relaxing for a few days at U.S. Corps of Engineers Willow Beach Campground , we found and explored Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park. It’s also registered as a National Historic Landmark. The C.O.E. campground is located at the Terry Lock and Dam in Willow Beach, not far from Little Rock.

Off They Go!!! Liberty Crew Runs for their Roses to Kentucky

 

In April 2017, we were itching to get back on the road to visit our old stomping grounds in Kentucky and go visit interesting places in the Midwest after spending the month of March in San Antonio. Once the Midwest’s mercury rose into the 60’s and 70’s, we pulled up our leveling jacks and boogied up the road northbound.

Recently, while waiting in the business’ reception area, I had a conversation with a young lady who was manning the desk and phones about our RV lifestyle.  Guessing, she had to be in her mid to late 20’s, single, no kids and full of life and aspiration gathering from our conversation.  She seemed genuinely interested in our lifestyle.

My Old Kentucky Home: Best Friends, Bourbon, and Bakeries

If you’ve been following our journey know our story began in Kentucky, the Bluegrass State.  We truly loved our Kentucky home and our hometown.  It was our Mayberry.  We forged amazing friendships and community presence that was difficult to watch get smaller in our rear view mirrors back in 2014.
