There are costs associated with camping off grid but nobody will admit or be truthful about them. Harvest Hosts is a great alternative for RV travelers looking to overnight somewhere other than an expensive campground but safer than a Walmart parking lot! A Harvest Hosts RV camping membership provides access to participating Hosts on our route to enjoy an overnight stay while enjoying their farm, winery, brewery or other business.
You need to think twice if you’re going to park your RV in a Walmart parking lot to catch some Z’s. Walmart overnight parking is coming to an end; even for stealth campers! But, for what reasons is Walmart rolling up the welcome mat and telling RVs, Vanlifers and even car campers to go take a hike?
